Julie Myers is a native of Washington, D.C. and brings twenty-seven years of legal experience as an estate planning lawyer, will and trust lawyer, contracts and business lawyer to Myers Law LLC. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech, she attended the University of Baltimore School of Law. There, she participated in the University’s Civil Law Clinic, representing low-income clients in inner city Baltimore, and in a summer abroad program at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. After graduation, Julie served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Lenore R. Gelfman (ret.), in the Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland. Julie spent ten years of her legal career as a civil litigator in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area, practicing employment law and general civil law. She practiced in both Maryland state and federal courts, and was admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar in 2005. In addition to her litigation practice, Julie served as a court-appointed mediator in the Maryland courts.
In 2007, Julie relocated to Colorado and obtained her Colorado law license. She practiced law in Colorado for 15 years, concentrating in estate planning, probate, business, and contracts. In 2010, she was recognized by the Colorado Supreme Court for outstanding pro bono service. Julie also worked as an administrative law judge for the State of Colorado and as a private practice attorney for a Colorado Springs civil litigation firm. Julie started Myers Law in Colorado in 2017, concentrating in wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate. She continued her practice and joined forces with The Cohen Law Firm, P.C., in Boulder, Colorado, where she worked for more than three years.
In 2021, Julie and her family came back home to Maryland, where she reopened Myers Law. Julie continues to provide competent and compassionate service to every client. Julie is an experienced estate planning lawyer, will and trust lawyer, contracts and business lawyer serving Ellicott City, Columbia, Maryland, and surrounding areas.
Outside of work, Julie has served as president of a Rotary Club, as a hospice board member, as a Girl Scout leader, and as a Junior Achievement educator. In addition, she spent two years coaching Girls on the Run, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping preteen girls gain confidence through fun, fitness, and teamwork. Julie is a lifelong artist and especially enjoys watercolor painting and ceramics. She spends her free time with her husband of 27 years and their two amazing kids.
